Hello everyone. My name is Hideyuki Fukushima. My previous workplace was located in Minami-Souma City which is an area that was extensively damaged in the Great East Japan Earthquake and tsunami and also suffered from the nuclear power plant accident; even now, many people have evacuated themselves from the area. I personally suffered no damage in the tsunami, I did not evacuate, and continued working as per usual, however, I did witness the terrible tragedy of the damage caused by the tsunami first hand. It's heart-breaking to think of the people who must have been living in those places.

Now I am stationed in the International Affairs Division, and am in charge of providing accurate information to foreigners about the state of damage in Fukushima Prefecture . I hope to increase the mutual understanding of eachother, and look forward to meeting you all. DOUZO YOROSHIKUONEGAISHIMASU!
